A MAGA influencer was attacked in West Hollywood by a gay couple after questioning them if they were fit to be parents, leading to one of the men being arrested.
Ryley Niemi and “Off The Record USA” were interviewing two men with a baby about adoption rights when one of the gay men attacked him, a video posted on Instagram showed.
“On April 16, 2026, what started as a routine interaction quickly escalated into a violent encounter,” according to a GoFundMe about the incident.
“Ryley was physically assaulted, and the situation became serious enough that over a dozen emergency responders arrived at the scene.”
It added, “In the middle of the incident, one of our primary cameras, a Sony A7C II, was completely destroyed.”
In the clip, the influencer was attacked by one of the gay parents seconds after he dropped a stat claiming “gay men are statistically much more likely to commit child molestation” and pressed if the two men had paid $50,000 to a woman to be pregnant.
One of the gay parents then questioned who he was and threatened to “kick his a–,” before Ryley said they chased after him.
In a second part of the clip, the group of men being interviewed became agitated demanding Ryley and the crew leave before a fight breaks out.
The upset gay parent who had threatened Ryley earlier came after him, whacking him on the back of the head several times, resulting Niemi falling into the camera.
One of men being interviewed also threatens the entire crew saying, “You all deserve to be killed…You all deserve to be shot in the f–king head.”
The caption next to the post said the man who assaulted them was allegedly now facing felony charges and said that they had broke a “$2,500 Camera (another felony).”
“We are currently taking the appropriate steps to pursue justice through the proper legal channels,” the fundraising message added.
The man who attacked the influencer has since been identified as David Vullin, according to the WeHo Times who spoke to Vullin’s husand, Anthony Vullin, a member of the Business License Commission in West Hollywood.
Vullin said his husband was arrested and booked on a felony charge related to the damage of the camera equipment after he admitted to hitting the influencer during the scuffle.
The Post obtained a booking log from the West Hollywood Sheriff station that said David Vullin was arrested and charged with a felony for “vandalism with loss valued equal or greater than $400.” He was later released.
Vullin told the outlet that, “They said he broke a camera, which he didn’t. Now we have to fight that.”
Reaction to the video was mixed, with some saying the interviewer needed to find a different way to get his point across, but others said charges should be filed against the man who attacked him.
“(To be honest) walking up to a gay couple with a newborn and implying they’re more likely to harm their child is pretty out of line,” one person wrote. “Sure, these statistics are worth discussing, but targeting and alleging this young family? This is straight up harassment.”
Another added in all caps, “LOCK THEM UP AND TAKE THE KID AWAY FOR THEIR SAFETY!”
Niemi told The Post he still feels pain from the attack and that the man is reportedly being charged with multiple felonies related to the attack.
The California Post reached out to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Niemi, and “Off the Record USA” for further comment.
