Connections hints November 28 – Spoiler-free clues for today's NYT Connections puzzle

If Wordle isn’t providing much of a challenge these days, then Connections might be the game for you.

The devilishly difficult word game is so hard that you’ll almost certainly need a hint or two.

Indeed, if you’re struggling to solve the Connections puzzle for November 28, then head down towards the bottom of the article for a selection of hints for each category, followed by the category titles if you require an extra helping hand.

We won’t give you the answers, however, so there’s no need to feel too guilty.

If you’re new to Connections, then the aim of the game is to organise a grid of 16 words into four groups of four. To do this you’ll need to figure out the links between words.

For example, Bass, Flounder, Salmon, Trout are all types of fish. Likewise, Ant, Drill, Island, Opal are all things that start with Fire.

Each group of four words is assigned a colour based on its difficulty. Yellow is the easiest category to solve, followed by Green, Blue and Purple.

While you can solve them in any order, it’s fun when you figure out the hardest category first and the easiest last.

Similar to Wordle, new puzzles are available from midnight local time on The New York Times website, where they’re available to play for free.

You can even delve into the archives and play some of the older puzzles, but you’ll need to create a free account first.

In the meantime, check out the November 28 daily Connections hints below.

Yellow – You can’t trust some people

Green – For a job well done

Blue – Something you might do when you’re really hungry

Purple – Day of the week (UK players might struggle with this one)
