A cleaning expert has revealed a hack for getting your oven sparkling clean simply by using one fruit from your home.

S & T Products, @sandtproducts on Instagram, designs crafty kitchen gadgets to help keep your cooking space clean and has amassed more than 400,000 followers on its Instagram account.

The account features tips and tricks for the latest cleaning hacks as well as cleaning motivation to get its followers in the mood to tackle tricky stains.

One of its most popular videos, which has been shared more than 12,000 times on Instagram, shows how viewers can scrub their oven clean by using fruit for a more natural cleaning solution.

The cleaning expert claims that the humble lemon is all you need for a deep clean

The video asks viewers to cut three to four lemons and cover them with water in a baking dish before setting your oven to 175 degrees.

Then, add the dish and bake for 20 minutes and let cool for 15 minutes.

Once cooled, use a microfibre cloth to sop up all the lemon water and start scrubbing.

The post states that you can also add baking soda to act as a natural cleaner with the lemon juice.

This lemon method features in multiple other videos from the cleaning hack account explaining how viewers can use the fruit to help get rid of hard water build-up in their shower heads and rust spots on cooking hobs.

Some Instagram users shared their results across the various lemon cleaning videos. “Amazing results,” one user commented while another wrote “this is genius and I’m totally going to try this!”

Others yet to try the technique also commented to ask if the tip actually works and received confirmation from other followers.
