An American model who knows Meghan Markle has revealed exactly what the Duchess is really like behind closed doors. Chrissy Teigen, who appeared on season two of Meghan’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, has said she adores the duchess, who she thinks is “incredibly strong”.
She also said that she struggles to understand why the Duchess is such a “polarising” and controversial figure. These comments were made over the weekend by Chrissy, 39, at an event.
The model said: “I really adore her (Meghan). I think she is so incredibly strong.”
She continued to tell People: “It is insane to me how polarizing she is for so many different people, when she really is just such a kind, good person that wants the best for all her friends and the best for people around her, and the best for her own relationship and for her children
“She just wants those things. And people come up with all these different things that she could be about or what she wants, … [but] it’s not that complicated.”
Chrissy also said that while people “come up with their own story” about the Duchess, she continues to just be herself.
She said: “I think it’s cool that [Meghan] is just like, ‘Listen, say whatever you want. I’m happy and I’m healthy and I feel good’.”
While Chrissy did not appear on season one of Meghan’s TV show, she did appear on an episode of season two.
The episode showed the two women sharing plenty of laughs together, especially as they made jewellery featuring flowers representing their children’s birth months.
Although they are friends, it is not believed that their children have play dates, with Chrissy telling People that her family tend to spend a lot of their time at home.
