Emergency services were called to Chiltern Firehouse in Marylebone, central London, after a massive fire engulfed the four-storey building.
Pictures shared on social media show huge flames ripping through the roof of the historic and lavish hotel. A large column of grey smoke could also be seen from the photographs.
Dozens of firefighters from the London Fire Brigade rushed to the five-star hotel to quash the blaze, and some 100 people were evacuated from the building.
