Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are gearing up for the opening ceremony of the 2025 Invictus Games at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver later today.
Ahead of their visit to Canada, the couple are said to have been spotted arriving at an airport in Canada on Friday evening.
Locals in Vancouver were reportedly eagerly anticipating Harry and Meghan’s arrival, with the pair reportedly making a three-hour journey from Santa Barbara via a private chartered jet.
Speaking ahead of their visit, Canadians reportedly spoke out about the couple – sharing their surprising thoughts of the pair.
As reported by GB News, one local said: “I think they will be very warmly welcomed here. I’m from Toronto where Meghan filmed Suits and have been a big fan of hers. She gets a bad press, but I still like her.”
Also speaking highly of Harry and Meghan, another resident said: “I think they do a very good job and do their best to help people. I know that the people of Vancouver will love having them here.
“I know they are not in the Royal Family anymore, but so many people like them”.
The pair’s highly-anticipated appearance marks their fifth appearance at the Games, with their first ever public appearance taking place at the Invictus Games in Canada in 2017.
The opening ceremony promises to include a star-studded lineup, with singer Katy Perry – a fellow Montecito resident – headlining the event.
