Cameron Norrie notched a big win over 12th seed Frances Tiafoe to book his spot in the Wimbledon third round. The British No.3, who made the semi-finals in 2022, gave Tiafoe a gruelling workout during a comeback victory which captivated spectators on Court 1.

Norrie closed out the show after Tiafoe faced criticism from BBC commentators John Lloyd and Andrew Castle. The pair felt it was ‘absolutely ridiculous’ and ‘unfair’ on Norrie that Tiafoe opted to take a long bathroom break at the end of the third set, when the home favourite’s momentum was building.

But Norrie didn’t let the interruption throw him off course as he put together three barnstorming sets to come through 4-6 6-4 6-3 7-5.
