The private school teacher accused of taking up-skirt photos of young girls and molesting four of his students at an elite Calabasas prep school said snapping and viewing the sickening pics made his “heart race,” court filings revealed.

Travis Shojinaga, 39, a veteran elementary school teacher at the $54,000-a-year Viewpoint School, took secret video “up the shirts and skirts of the 4th and 5th grade female students that he teaches,” prosecutors said.

The accused pedophile took recordings of the 10- and 11-year-old girls by bending down and pretending to pick up trash or tie his shoe, the filings showed.

The educator further targeted a particularly vulnerable victim who was wearing a leg cast due to her mobility issues and sought out the victims based on their age and length of their skirts, prosecutors added.

Shojinaga is also accused of molesting several victims by looking for girls to sit next to during breaks and standing close to students.

After his arrest, he told authorities that he had an “addiction” and had taken the vile recording 50 to 60 times, according to court filings.

“He said taking and viewing these photos make his ‘heart race,’” the documents said.

He allegedly spent several of his eight years as a teacher at the school preying on underage students.

Shojinaga was arrested on Viewpoint’s campus on Feb. 25 after an 11-year-old student reported that he was secretly taking inappropriate photographs of female students.

He has been charged with one felony count of possession of child abuse material and four misdemeanor counts of child molestation.

Shojinaga faced a judge on Thursday in a Los Angeles courtroom, appearing dazed and nervous as he sat in front of Judge Adam Monteblan.

He wore wearing a wrinkled khaki shirt and black pants while trying to avoid eye contact with those who looked his way.

At times, his attorney tried to shield him from cameras in the courtroom.

If convicted on the charges, he faces seven years in state prison and will also be required to register as a sex offender for life.

Shojinaga is currently free on $1 million bail. A protective order granted by the court says he must stay away from his alleged victims and Viewpoint.
