Bury Market incident LIVE: Police swarm town centre as three rushed to hospital


Police have swarmed a Greater Manchester town centre to tackle a serious incident. 

Police and paramedics currently remain on the scene in Bury town centre after three people were rushed to hospital. The “extent of the injuries sustained by those involved are unclear”, police have said.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: “Greater Manchester Police are currently responding to an incident on Murray Road, Bury. The extent of the injuries sustained by those involved are unclear at this time, but officers are at the scene to conduct further enquiries.

“Anyone with information that may help is asked to call 101 quoting incident 1338 of 11/03/2024.”

A spokesperson for NWAS said: “NWAS responded to a police incident following a call at 12.06. Three patients have been taken to hospital.”
