A “charred” corpse was shockingly discovered in a Queens lot Thursday afternoon, cops and sources said.

The unidentified man was found lying on the ground around 4:20 p.m. Thursday when police responded to a 911 call from the vacant lot on 139th Street and Hillside Avenue in Briarwood, according to authorities and law enforcement sources.

He had been living in a tent at the lot — possibly a dormant construction site — and was believed to be homeless, the sources said.

The body appeared “charred,” and investigators believe it had been there for a while, the sources added.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS workers.

It was unclear how the man died or how his body was badly burned.

The city medical examiner will determine the cause of death, according to police.

No arrests had been made by Friday and the probe remained ongoing.
