Bryce James is looking good in his debut season at Arizona.

The youngest son of LeBron James hit a personal milestone on Thursday with his first career points for the Wildcats.

Starting for the second straight game, James cashed in a corner 3 off a pass from freshman Caleb Holt to put Arizona up 9-3 early in an eventual 104-84 win over Cal Poly.

James, who played 17 minutes, hit a midrange jumper in the final two minutes of the game to finish with five points, two assists and two steals on 2-for-5 shooting.

In his collegiate debut, James went 0-for-3 from the field and was scoreless in six minutes in a loss to UCLA.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is playing his first season in the college ranks after spending his freshman season on the bench. A three-star recruit out of Sierra Canyon High School, he redshirted last year to help with his development, Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd said at the time.

“The redshirting decision was just a long play, to give Bryce the most options in his career as his career unfolds,” Lloyd said in February. “I have real strong belief that Bryce will be a contributor at Arizona in the near future. He’s really shown a lot of progress, not only learning our system but just physically maturing.”

LeBron hyped up his son in August ahead of his debut season, first by posting a photo of Bryce making the Arizona honor roll, then a video of Bryce watching film while the pair was at dinner.

“That boy locked in!” LeBron said in the video.

While Bryce is the middle of LeBron’s three children, and the younger brother of the Lakers’ Bronny, he may be the last basketball player in the family. Zhuri James, 12, appears to be focused on volleyball.
