A brute randomly sucker-punched an on-duty NYPD school crossing guard during the morning rush in The Bronx last week, cops said Tuesday.

The 46-year-old woman was working at the corner of Gerard Avenue and East 167th Street in the Concourse neighborhood around 8:15 a.m. March 5 when the stranger suddenly slugged her in the chest without saying a word, authorities said. 

He fled the scene and was still on the loose as of Tuesday morning, cops said.

The victim was treated at the scene by EMS workers for chest pain, and later sought further medical care on her own, police said. 

Footage released by the NYPD shows the menace strolling on the rainy sidewalk with the hood of his black puffer jacket pulled up over his head, wearing black pants and brown construction boots.
