Emergency services have been deployed to Brunswick, a village near Newcastle, after reports of a fire.
Police, fire service, and ambulances are all present at the scene on near to Dene Avenue and Drysdale Crescent.
The reason for the major response has not been confirmed.
Images from the scene show at least one property damaged.
North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.02am on Wednesday 26 March to reports of a fire at a property in Brunswick village, Newcastle. We dispatched an ambulance crew, a clinical team leader, and a crew from our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to the scene.”
