Brits urged to buy Quality Street tubs from major UK supermarket ‘before October 7’ | UK | News

With just under 100 days left until Christmas, many stores are laden with the much-loved Christmas staple. For a limited time only, one UK supermarket is leading the way in major savings.

Regardless of which is your favourite, most Brits would agree that Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a tub of Quality Street. Savvy shoppers are now stocking up on the 600g tubs, which contain all the hotly debated and familiar favourites.

Of the Big Four, Tesco is leading the way on slashed prices. At full price, a box of the brightly coloured, individually wrapped goodies would normally be £7. Now, all the familiar goodies, including The Purple One, Green Triangle, Toffee Finger, and Strawberry Delight, are featured in this £2.95 bargain.

The offer is available for Clubcard holders and lasts until October 7. However , Tesco is also offering discounts on a number of other goodies, with some offers lasting up until January.

Understandably, the £2.95 bargain tubs are incredibly popular, and they are showing as sold out online. However, shoppers can check their local stores and use the Tesco app.

The offer has created quite a stir online. One user, Chaarley, posted, “Don’t walk—run to your local Tescos to grab a tub or 2 of quality street chocolates for £2.95 instead of £7!! ” While users such as Dales Deals snapped videos of their local  stores laden with the popular tubs, others were left disappointed at not quite having managed to nab one.

However, some pointed out that they’d still managed to get a tub at the slightly higher but still discounted £4.95.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “The availability shown on our Tesco Grocery Home Shopping site only represents your local store (if you are logged in) or our Pitsea Extra store (if not logged in) and does not represent overall availability. Customers can use the search facility on the Tesco app to check the current availability of a specific product at their local Tesco store.”

Tesco.com lists a number of other major savings for Clubcard holders. Celebrations are just £4.50 for the 550g tubs. Normally priced £7.50, the 200g Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate, Pistachio, Assorted truffles and Strawberries & Cream are going for £5.50. Meanwhile, a large 24-piece Ferrero Rocher box, normally priced at £10.50, is going for £8. Cadbury Heroes (550g) are also going for £5.25 as opposed to the usual £7.  Most offers end in December, with some going on until January 2026.

As for the other three major UK supermarkets, online, Sainsbury’s lists its 550g Quality Street tub at full price but £4.50 with Nectar. Meanwhile, Asda lists it for £4.68, and Morrisons remains at £7. The smaller 220g tub is listed at £4 or £3.25 with More Card.
