King Charles is currently dealing with the pressures following the latest scandal involving the disgraced Prince Andrew. The 76-year-old has been facing numerous calls to evict his brother from his 30-room Windsor mansion, just days after it emerged that Andrew has agreed to relinquish his remaining titles and honours.
According to a new poll conducted by YouGov, royal fans appear impressed with the King’s handling of his brother’s latest scandal – especially alongside his own cancer battle. Results of the poll show that 40 percent of Britons feel that the King has handled the issues surrounding the revelations about Prince Andrew’s relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein either “very well” or “fairly well”.
Although 28 percent remain unsure, 32 percent of voters think that he has done “fairly badly” or “very badly”.
It has been reported that Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who he lives with at Royal Lodge, have agreed to leave their home but only if one major demand is met.
Andrew, 65, and Sarah, 66, have reportedly agreed to move out of Royal Lodge if they are given two separate homes.
Andrew is reportedly eyeing up Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former UK residence, Frogmore Cottage, located in Windsor.
Unlike her ex-husband, Sarah is said to be keen on moving into Royal Lodge once the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children have moved out next month.
Speaking of the demand, the King has been urged to reconsider the request, as he will, according to one royal expert, make a “huge mistake” if he agrees.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror: “I think it would be a serious mistake if the King and the Palace agreed to such a brazen demand.
“You have to ask yourself whether Andrew and Sarah are completely deaf to public opinion.”
YouGov polled 4,223 UK adults on 28 October 2025.
