Brits arrested in Tenerife after brawl outside popular nightspot leaves three injured

Seven British holidaymakers have been arrested in Tenerife after a brawl outside a popular nightspot left three people injured.

One of the Brits involved in the fight in Playa de las Americas lost three teeth due to the attack.

The incident, which took place in the early hours of March 11th, has led to the seven British tourists facing court action.

The brawl occurred along the entertainment strip of Las Veronicas, an area that was once known for trouble but has since improved its reputation. This is the first major incident there in a while.

The National Police arrested seven English citizens, aged between 21 and 34, on suspicion of causing injuries.

During the brawl outside a nightlife establishment, it’s alleged that they seriously injured three other Brits, with one victim losing three teeth as a result of the attack.

“Outside one of the establishments there was a fight between several tourists during which three of them suffered serious injuries,” confirmed the National Police.

After the attack, the group of seven Brits reportedly fled towards the nearby beach, leaving those attacked lying on the ground, semi-conscious.

“The agents, who were at the scene, interviewed the victims and, while gathering information about the physical description of their attackers, requested the presence of medical services to treat the injured,” says Spanish newspaper Diario de Avisos.

“Based on the information communicated by the police, several patrols located the alleged perpetrators on the seafront and proceeded to arrest them almost immediately after the attack was committed.”

The detainees, together with the report prepared for this purpose, were placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.

There has been no update about the condition of the three Brits injured.
