Slough in Berkshire was named as the most “miserable place to live” in Rightmove’s Happy Home Index.
Now, the town could become part of London with the latest Government plans to create larger authorities rather than keep lots of smaller ones.
The town is located just half an hour away from the capital via train and its geographic location is an important factor in the decision for it to potentially join a London authority.
Slough Council is considering merging with West London, which has left people considering what the town’s best options are, reports The Metro.
The town is known for its industrial heritage, rich history and for being the backdrop of famous TV show The Office.
There are an impressive 76 outdoor playgrounds and play areas across Slough, with plenty of opportunities for people to enjoy green spaces.
It is also home to a famous chocolate factory, which was the birthplace of the Mars Bar.
Despite this, residents have not ranked the town highly, with some posting online sharing their least favourite things about the area.

Slough’s politicians are considering merging with a west London council, such as Hillingdon, or even becoming part of the Greater London Authority.
Some Londoners said they would rather not see Slough become part of their city.

The future of Slough remains uncertain as a decision has not yet been reached.
On Monday, the possibility of Slough merging with London is set to be discussed in its borough council cabinet meeting.
