‘Breathtaking’ UK beach dubbed ‘most beautiful in world’ | UK | Travel

There are several beaches in the UK that could vie for the title of the world’s best. One popular contender in Cornwall is Crantock Beach. Found near Newquay, on the North Cornwall coast, it offers “an expanse of golden sand, great for sandcastles and surfing.”

It’s little surprise then that the “breathtaking” beach is often showcased on social media. A recent post shared by TikTok user @sunset.stealer809 has earned over 130,000 views, prompting a wave of responses from visitors who love the beach.

In the post, the blogger wrote: “The best beach to visit in Cornwall.” The caption added: “Sand cliff boarding heaven in Cornwall.” The video also received 2,900 likes from impressed viewers.

Someone commented: “Crantock beach is so lovely.” A second viewer wrote: “One of my favourite beaches.” A third fan said: “Been there counleess times beautifully happy memories.”

Another response read: “Just came back from a week visiting many beaches and great places in Cornwall. What a gem of a place.” Someone shared: “The first beach I ever went to in Cornwall was Crantock beach. Love it.” A different fan replied: “So beautiful,” and a commenter suggested: “It is probably the closest you’ll get to being abroad but still in the uk, amazing.”

Crantock Beach is also popular on TripAdvisor, where it has received high praise from visitors. Echoing the sentiment that the Cornish beach is the best of the best, one reviewer said: “Best beach in the world! This beach is just amazing!

“It has everything, fabulous soft sand, enormous stretch of sand at low tide, an estuary for paddle boarding, caves, rocks for rock pooling and crabbing, a pub on the cliff, little motorboat to take you over the tidal estuary at high tide, fab cafe on the cliff side (Fern Pit) with fabulous views. We spend day after day here and never get bored. SIMPLY THE BEST.”

Someone agreed: “Best beach in the world (my doggies say so!)” They explained: This is the best beach ever, big, dog friendly, clean, toilets, mobile coffee wagon, clean water, big surf, surf school, life guard patrolled, gentle water for little kids, great expanses of golden sand, big car park and run by the national trust, it’s just great we love it as do our woofers! We’ll be back again and again and again….” A fan claimed: “The most beautiful beach in the world. Charge your spiritual batteries and enjoy the perfect splendour of Cornwall.”

Another added: “What a gorgeous beach! The tide was out when we arrived and was able to explore the rocks and a cave that we found to the far side of the cove. It left a little island in the middle surrounded by shallow, perfectly clear water that had been warmed in the sun so perfect for the little ones.” A different fan said: “Breathtaking views, for stroll along the beach and a ramble around the dunes. What a gem of a place!”

Visitors should note that parking is available, but it can get busy. The National Trust’s website states: “The National Trust car park at Crantock Beach can quickly fill and be busy throughout the day.

“We have limited spaces so, if the Trust car park is full, please either park in one of the private car parks (charges apply to all) or come back another time. The approach road is narrow and has double yellow lines. Please maintain access for emergency services.”

It also asks visitors to take all litter home. “The visitor welcome team work hard caring for Crantock Beach, keeping it pleasant for both the people who visit and the wildlife that call it home. With this in mind, we ask everyone to leave the site as they would hope to find it – full of good memories and free from litter.”
