Bread baking can feel intimidating – a precise art requiring exact measurements and endless patience. Yet one recipe guru has shared that you only need a few minutes and two simple ingredients to master the craft, reports the Express.
For nervous novices hesitant to dive in, journalist and content creator Laura (@cakeontherun) has devised a fool-proof method requiring no kneading or proving time whatsoever. Her method allows you to whip up a miniature loaf using two staples likely lurking in your cupboards already. In an Instagram post from May 2024, she demonstrated how straightforward the recipe is made using a much-loved kitchen gadget.
For those pressed for time, Laura disclosed that this petite loaf bakes perfectly in an air fryer. The recipe also adapts seamlessly for gluten-free requirements.
One follower responded: “I have to try it.”
Samuel wrote: “Thanks, so simple! Could you recommend cooking it in the microwave, in order to save fuel costs? Cheers.”
For budding bakers seeking a straightforward, swift recipe, here’s what you’ll need.
Method
Combine flour and yoghurt in a bowl to form a dough.
Dust your hands with flour, shape into a ball, knead briefly, then roughly mould into a loaf or wide sausage shape using your palms. The mixture shouldn’t be overly sticky.
Pop the bread into the air fryer and set it to air fry mode at 200 degrees for five minutes. Laura noted that air fryers can differ, so if the loaf is still a tad undercooked, give it a few more minutes.
For those without an air fryer, simply bake in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Tuck in immediately.
