Boots worn by Princess Kate reduced by £200 in British brand sale | Royal | News

Royal fans can get their hands on the very boots that Kate Middleton has been wearing for years as they are still available to shop today. Kate was first photographed wearing the Inclement Long Tassel Boots by British accessories designer Penelope Chilvers when Prince William proposed to her and they’ve since become part of her signature style.

The royal has been spotted sporting the boots more than a dozen times, re-wearing them time and time again. Now is an excellent opportunity to add them to your basket as they have been reduced by a huge £200. Typically £499, if you buy them directly through the Penelope Chilvers website, you can get them for £299 instead. That’s £176 cheaper than you will find them at John Lewis.

Penelope Chilvers are best known for their timeless leather designs and functional footwear. It’s not hard to see why the Long Tassel Boots are a favourite for the royal – the hardwearing boots have stood the test of time as well as looking stylish. She even wore them during a four-hour mountain trek in the Himilayas.

The shoes are sustainably sourced from Spanish leather and feature a scalloped detail with a tasseled zipper. The brand claim they are waterproof for up to 40 hours, ideal for unpredictable UK weater, and they boast a moisture wicking membrane that will let your feet breathe.

Perfect for dog walks, hikes, or for adding a royally-approved touch to your outfit, one person described them as ‘gorgeous’ and ‘very high quality’. They went on to write: “I’d say they run large in the foot so I wish I’d been able to get a 3.5. Room for some big socks though! The ankle is lovely and narrow so gives a great shape to the leg. I’ve worn with jeans and a Barbour wax jacket, good sturdy sole for walking. I’ve also found they go lovely with a short knitted dress!”

Someone else said: “Absolutely amazing boots, the quality is superb and they fit like slippers. If you are looking for a pair of boots that are smart and waterproof, then these are for you!”

A third wearer shared: “My first pair of Penelope Chilvers boots and I’m convinced they won’t be my last! The gorgeous lining makes them so cosy and comfortable yet the suede makes them look very smart. I will be able to dress them up or down and wear them in the town and the country Just what a girl needs!”

It has been noted that at first it might be difficult to pull the zips up, however the leather should give in the calf area over time.

Kate Middleton’s accessories tend to sell-out quickly so if you are unable to get your size, these Barbour Acorn Long Leather Boots are a great alternative. Currently on sale for £129 down from £189, shoppers say they are the ‘perfect fit’ and ‘very comfortable’ for long walks. Elsewhere, Kate’s Superga trainers are on sale for half price at Amazon, having been reduced to £25.
