Emergency responders descended on a busy street in Bolton town centre after a blaze erupted at a vacant building. Firefighters, police, and paramedics are currently at the scene on Bradshawgate, where a cordon has been established and multiple fire engines are present. Photographs from the area show several buses halted near the emergency response location, with a ladder apparently used by the fire department to combat the flames at a property.
At least one ambulance is stationed on the street, and Greater Manchester Police officers are visible at the scene, reports the Manchester Evening News. According to a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, six fire engines responded to reports of a building fire on Bradshawgate in Bolton shortly before 9am this morning (Monday, March 31).
