Chilling new police bodycam video has captured former “American Idol” contestant Caleb Flynn’s reaction after his wife and mother to their two children was found dead inside their home.
In the video, Tipp City, Ohio, officers are heard describing the crime scene and quizzing Caleb, who has since been charged with his wife Ashley’s murder.
Ashley, 37, was found dead with gunshot wounds in her home on Feb.16 and the harrowing discovery prompted an officer to say: “I’ma start calling people,” according to the footage seen by WKEF-TV.
A traumatized Caleb, 39, was heard responding: “Is she, is she gone sir, is…Oh, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.”
Then one cop said: “We have a homicide” before going on to describe the scene.
“Well, we have a lady with a gunshot wound to the head in her bed,” he said.
“We got gunshot – gun casings on the floor.”
The officer revealed he hadn’t spoken with Caleb and his children – who were unharmed.
Responding officers were heard then probing Caleb on if he had any weapons.
“I have a shotgun,” he said. “A shotgun, and a 22, and like a pellet gun. I have a, I have a handgun in my truck. In the glovebox.”
Cops also combed the garage. Officers realized the center console of a truck was open, and searched to see if they could find any blood, which they couldn’t.
Tipp City police also released bodycam footage that showed Caleb wailing and vomiting.
He also called his mom, letting her know that his wife was dead, as reported by People.
Caleb called 911 and claimed that someone had broken into the home he shared with Ashley and shot her, but officials accused him of “staging” the scene, according to court docs seen by The Post.
This meant that officers “were led estray,” according to the legal papers.
He is accused of using a 9mm handgun to shoot Ashley, who was both a teacher and a volleyball coach.
Caleb, who gushed over his wife while on the 2013 season of the talent show, has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.
He has also been charged with assault and tampering with evidence.
A preliminary hearing supposed to take place on Feb. 26 was postponed until March 26, and he remains in the Miami County Jail in Ohio on a $2 million bond.
