Baba Vanga, the blind psychic who some say can predict the future, appears to have predicted Vladimir Putin’s death and a cure for Alzheimer’s in 2024. Born Vangelia Pandeva Gushterova, Vanga was blind from childhood after a tornado hit, but those who believe in the Bulgarian clairvoyant’s mystical powers say she was given the power to look into the future.
She first became popular during the Second World War for her predictions with Bulgarian Tsar Boris III and Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev reportedly consulting her in person.
Vanga died in 1996 and has become a cult figure among believers of soothsaying and conspiracy theorists.
When she died, the psychic left behind predictions for every year up until 5079.
Followers say she foretold her own death, that of Princess Diana and even the 9/11 terror attacks, but her predictions cannot be authenticated as they are based on second-hand accounts after her death.
She made seven predictions for 2024, which should not be taken too seriously, as in 2023 she predicted nuclear weapons would be used and that the earth would be hit by a devastating solar storm.
According to followers, Vanga has predicted the association of Russian leader Vladimir Putin by a fellow Russian by the end of the year and also warned of an increase in terror attacks as well as the testing of biological weapons.
She says there will be a huge economic crisis in 2024 along with a number of terrifying weather events and natural disasters.
Vanga also predicted that power grids and water treatment plants would be hit by advanced cyber hackers posing a national security threat.
But it is not all doom and gloom, with the soothsayer predicting a cure for both Alzheimer’s and cancer in 2024 as well as a massive breakthrough in quantum computing.
For those wondering a little further into the future, her predictions only go as far as 5079 as that is the year she believes the world will end.
