Blackbird ski guides killed in Lake Tahoe avalanche identified

The names of three ski guides killed in the catastrophic Lake Tahoe-area avalanche were revealed by authorities Saturday.

Michael Henry, Andrew Alissandratos and Nicole Chu — all employees of Blackbird Mountain Guides — died in the tragic snow slide Tuesday at Castle Peak, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

All of the victims, including six mothers who were clients of Blackbird, have been recovered from the mountain, officials said.
