What our Post expert thinks about Magic vs. Cavaliers
The Magic have slipped closer to the bottom of the league on offense and defense over the past month. Particularly over the last two weeks, the Magic are being outscored by 14.9 points per 100 possessions, which ranks 29th in the NBA over that span.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers are doing their best to keep pace in the suddenly competitive East. They’ve gone 5-2 the past two weeks, and their defense is starting to show signs that it can shut down teams who challenge them in the paint. The Cavs have the fifth-best defense in the league over the past two weeks, holding teams to just 110.9 per 100.
