What our Post expert thinks about Orioles vs. Guardians
Baz’s start in Baltimore has been a shaky one, as he’s allowed at least three earned runs in two of his first three outings and hasn’t made it through six innings yet. His high-90s fastball and effective knuckle-curve still flash strong upside, but inconsistent command continues to hold him back.
Messick has been dominant to open the season, showcasing excellent command and an elite changeup. He’s riding a standout outing against Atlanta, where he kept a dangerous lineup scoreless through 6 2/3 innings.
