What our Post expert thinks about Scottie Scheffler
The sky is apparently falling on Scottie Scheffler, whose slight dip in recent form has many questioning his outlook at Augusta this week.
He started the season strong with a win and multiple top-five finishes, but more recent results outside the top 10 are raising concerns.
While his ballstriking — especially approach shots — has declined statistically, his putting has been excellent and players are rewarded for that at Augusta.
With his personal life settling after the birth of his son, Augusta could be the perfect place for him to return to peak form. He’s hunting for his fifth major and his 21st PGA Tour win.
