The essential new Lord of the Rings game is actually the latest version of Dobble by Asmodee.
Available for just £16.99 from the publisher’s website, Dobble Quest for the One Ring is an absolutely fantastic party game that’s incredibly simple to play.
If you’re not familiar with Dobble, it’s a popular card game that supports 2-8 players.
The aim of the game is to spot the common symbol between two cards and name it before your opponents.
It’s simple enough for anybody to pick up and play, especially if you love Lord of the Rings.
It’s a little bit like Snap, although the difference is that each card has multiple symbols, so you need to quickly identify which one matches your card.
Needless to say, the Lord of the Rings version comes with characters and items from the popular fantasy series.
You’ll find characters like Gandalf, Aragorn, Sam and Frodo, as well as the Eye of Sauron, Smaug and lots more.
Each card is unique, and only has one image in common with every other card in the deck.
The symbols on the cards also come in different sizes and are placed in random positions, making it even harder to spot the similarities.
