Apple announced its brand new iPhone range on September 9, and now all four new models are available to pre-order in the UK. The iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are in stock – as of 1pm on September 12 – at all major UK retailers, ready to ship to buyers from September 19.
There are a raft of upgrades this year no matter which model you go for, with the regular iPhone 17 gaining a 120Hz ProMotion, always-on display that the base iPhone has never had before. It starts at £799.
The new ultra-thin iPhone Air grabbed most of the headlines with its 5.6mm slim chassis and bold titanium and glass look, though with only one camera on the back. That said, it has the same chipset as the Pro models, and costs from £999.
At the top of the line, the £1,099 iPhone 17 Pro and £1,199 iPhone 17 Pro Max have overhauled designs from previous years with an aluminium unibody and glass section on the back giving a two-tone look in orange, blue or silver. The camera module is also expanded for a very different aesthetic.
If you don’t want to pay full price upfront to get your hands on one of the new iPhones, you will need to consider picking one up on a contract. Contract deals offer monthly payment plans to pay off the cost of the device, usually over two or three years, plus additional monthly costs to pay for a mobile plan for minutes, texts and data allowance.
We’ve sifted through the deals from all the UK’s major networks EE, O2, Three and Vodafone to see where the best prices are, though you can often find cheaper deals from third party retailers such as Sky Mobile or Mobiles.co.uk.
Here’s where to pre-order the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
So far, the cheapest deal for the iPhone 17 we’ve seen is with Sky Mobile. This is when you take into account the cheapest monthly payment rather than the overall cost of the whole contract.
At £26 per month – and considering Sky Mobile does not usually impose annual tariff price rises – this would end up costing you £936 over the 36-month contract.
If you are already a customer of one of the UK’s main four networks, you might want to stick with them to upgrade to the iPhone 17. Check online or in-store to see if you can get a cheaper price than the ones we’ve listed below, which are the cheapest monthly prices for a new contract.
You can click through to view all the deals for each individual provider, but we’ve picked out the cheapest way to get hold of the iPhone 17 today according to overall monthly price.
Now let’s take a look at the best prices we can currently find for the iPhone Air, Apple’s new ultra-thin iPhone.
Just like the regular iPhone 17, existing customers of EE, O2, Three and Vodafone should check with their provider if they are entitled to discounts through upgrades. The prices below are for new customer contracts for the iPhone Air.
If you want to upgrade your mobile to the biggest and (probably) best new iPhone this year, that is the iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max. Check with your current mobile provider in case you can get a better upgrade deal than these new contract prices.
We’ve listed the best prices below for the smaller iPhone 17 Pro, so be sure to click through and select the larger iPhone 17 Pro Max if that’s the model you’re after.
