Belvita recall: Two breakfast sandwich varieties recalled after possible nut contamination

Belvita-maker Mondelez has issued a voluntary recall of two of its breakfast sandwiches due to the possibility that the products may contain undeclared peanuts.

There is a voluntary recall for two varieties of the Belvita Breakfast Sandwich.

Belvita maker Mondelez announced the recall Monday for the products, which were manufactured in the U.S. and sold nationwide, due to the possibility that they may contain undeclared peanuts resulting from cross-contact on a single manufacturing line.

The recall is for the Belvita Breakfast Sandwich Cinnamon Brown Sugar with Vanilla Creme and the Belvita Breakfast Sandwich Dark Chocolate Creme with a “best when used by” date prior to Feb. 26, 2024. No other Belvita products or Mondelez products are affected by the recall, according to the company.

People with a severe sensitivity or a peanut allergy who consume the products may risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions.
