A pair of Beats headphones that can ‘block out aircraft noise’ are currently available with a mega price drop. The Beats Studio3 Wireless Headphones are discounted to £199 at Amazon, down £150.95 from the usual £349.95.
Available in a choice of matte black, grey or white, the over-ear headphones are powered by pure adaptive noise canceling (pure ANC), which actively blocks external noise. They’re compatible with both iOS and Android devices, so they’re ideal for using with devices from Apple, Samsung, Sony, Google Pixel and more.
The Beats’ powerful battery can last for up to 22 hours, while the ‘Fast Fuel’ feature means a single 10-minute charge can provide three hours of runtime. They can also stay connected to your device from further away thanks to Apple’s W1 chip combined with high-spec Bluetooth technology.
With the Beats, audiophiles can control their music with an array of buttons on the left ear cup, allowing you to adjust the volume and skip tracks without using your phone. As well as listening to music, a built-in microphone on each ear cup makes it easy to make and receive calls.
With the headphones, buyers will receive a USB charging cable, a RemoteTalk cable and a hard case for easy storage and portability. With more than 10,000 five-star reviews, the Beats Studio3 Wireless Headphones have been a hit with Amazon customers who say they’re ‘worth every penny’.
One happy customer said: “Great pair of headphones. Pairing via Bluetooth was quick and easy. The headphones are comfortable to wear and offer excellent bass sound. The noise cancelling feature is impressive, particularly during a long-haul flight, where they effectively blocked out the aircraft noise.”
Another said: “These headphones are lightweight and so comfortable to wear, the noise cancelling is very good, allowing me to ignore what’s going on around me and just concentrate on the sounds coming from my phone. The sound quality is excellent and the controls are simple. I think they are worth every penny.”
However, one reviewer wasn’t impressed that the Beats Studio3 have an old USB charging port, writing: “There is no excuse for the audio leaders to use old micro-USB to charge the device. In this day and age, you have to lose two stars in my review for not using USB-C.”
Despite this, a satisfied shopper said: “Brilliant Beats. These Beats are the best sound quality out of the previous Beats I have purchased before. I have had trouble with the temperamental construction of previous models but this version is a lot more sturdy and the hard case gives me peace of mind when they are in my backpack. They have plenty of battery life for long journeys and [are] extremely easy to use. They may be a little pricey but well worth the investment.”
Alternatively, Sky Mobile will let shoppers spread the cost of a pair of new headphones, with options including the Apple AirPods Max for £16. For an even more affordable pair, the JLAB Air True Wireless Earbuds are £1.40 over 36-months
