Donald Trump’s youngest son has not been spotted with his father since the inauguration in January, it has emerged.
Despite routinely being joined by his elder children as he travels the world and attends official events, Barron has not made a public appearance alongside the president during his initial six months back in office.
Throughout the 2024 campaign, Barron made several appearances and was praised for helping to shape his father’s approach to younger voters, recommending which podcasts to feature on and even influencing social media tactics.
President Trump commended him for grasping the youth vote and acknowledged him at his inauguration for helping secure young male audiences.
However, since relocating to New York last autumn to commence his studies, Barron appears to have opted to focus on a more private existence, reports the Irish Star.
His mother, First Lady Melania Trump, has ensured he maintains robust privacy safeguards.
Barron resides in Trump Tower and studies at NYU, occasionally visiting the White House but not living there permanently.
The president has been spotted publicly with Elon Musk’s son more frequently than he’s been seen with his own, The Daily Beast reported.
Barron’s conduct mirrors that of his mother, who also doesn’t reside in Washington and has allegedly spent just 14 days there thus far during her husband’s second presidency.
“I will be in the White House. And when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach,” she told Fox News in January. Donald Trump’s adult offspring have long been key figures in his political and business world, with varying levels of public exposure.
Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump remain the most publicly active, regularly seen at campaign rallies, media interviews, and fundraising events.
Both are involved in the Trump Organisation and continue to promote their father’s political brand, often speaking at conservative conferences and engaging on social media.
Ivanka Trump, who served as a senior adviser during Trump’s first term, has largely retreated from the political limelight since 2021. Although she made brief appearances during the 2024 campaign, she has primarily focused on her family and private business interests in Florida.
Her spouse, Jared Kushner, has also maintained a low profile, despite playing a significant role behind the scenes during Trump’s first administration.
Tiffany Trump, the former president’s youngest daughter from his second marriage, is seen more sporadically. She occasionally attends family events and campaign functions but has kept a relatively low public profile.
Barron was shielded from the public eye during Trump’s first term in office due to his young age, but his popularity on the 2024 campaign trail with many MAGA enthusiasts led many to believe he might take on a more prominent role in the new administration.
However, that has not been the case so far.
