One of the best 2024 PS5 games can now be bought alongside a digital PS5 for an absolutely brilliant price. Astro Bot was one of the biggest surprises last year – but received critical acclaim from reviewers.
Sites like Eurogamer gave the game a 5 out of 5 and praised it for its imagination, craft and massively fun gameplay that everyone can enjoy. And if you have been looking for a new PS5 bundle to upgrade your old and bulky PS5, this might be the deal for you.
You can currently get the Astro Bot bundle from PlayStation Direct for £339.99, which basically gives you the game for free. The bundle includes a digital slim PS5 with a 1TB SSD, which is a pretty solid deal.
However, be aware that because it is a digital console, you don’t be able to play discs unless you buy an attachable disc drive for an extra £100. You’ll also have to download the game to get it to work so make sure you have an internet connection.
But you’ll also get free express delivery when you buy the console – so it should arrive next day at your door.
The new PS5 Pro is the subject of price drops elsewhere however. You can get the PS5 Pro from EE for £659 in a new price drop. And if you’ve been thinking about getting Astro Bot, Amazon is selling the game for slightly under £50.
The PS5 Slim is renowned for its performance and since it operates the same as the older console, you can enjoy all your favourite PS5 games in a more compact package. But be warned: you’ll need a disc drive with this version of the PS5 if you want to play discs and stock of the disc drive attachment is quite limited so bear this in mind when making your purchase.
This is a similar situation that PS5 Pro shoppers will find themselves in. You’ll have 1TB of SSD storage built in, allowing you to keep your favourite games ready for instant play, and enjoy smooth, fluid gameplay at up to 120fps for compatible games, with support for 120Hz output on 4K displays.
However, the PS5 slim isn’t the newest or up-to-date console and if you’re a slightly more hardcore gamer who values performance, we recommend going for the PS5 Pro that you can grab from EE right here.
The PS5 Pro comes with slightly faster and better hardware for gamers who want better resolution and framerates – and it’s more than well worth it if you can fork out the cash.
