The wait to discover this year’s Ballon d’Or winner is nearly over, with just hours until a new player is awarded the prestigious golden ball. Rodri scooped it last year but has not been nominated on this occasion, having missed nearly all of the 2024/25 campaign due to injury. The likes of Mohamed Salah, Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha are among those shortlisted for the biggest individual prize in football.
The winner will be announced at a glitzy ceremony in Paris on Monday evening. However, many PSG players will be unable to attend after their fixture against Marseille was postponed due to a storm warning. The rearranged match will take place tonight, meaning it will clash with proceedings at the Theatre du Chatelet.
