Ashton-under-Lyne dog attack LIVE: Huge emergency service presence after woman attacked


Armed police rushed to a cemetery in Greater Manchester after reports a woman was viciously attacked by a dog. 

The woman has since been rushed to hospital and the dog has been secured.

Police still remain on the scene at Hurst Cross Cemetery in Ashton-under-Lyne.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At around 1.25pm today, officers responded to reports of a dog attacking a female in Hurst Cemetery, Prospect Road, Ashton-under-Lyne.

“Officers attended and the dog was subsequently secured. The female was taken to hospital with non life-threatening or changing injuries.”
