If your windows have gone from sparkling to smudged due to the autumn wet weather, a dedicated cleaning tool like the Kärcher WV 2 Plus handheld window vacuum cleaner could be your new best friend. It’s not just limited to cleaning windows; it will also help remove moisture from shower doors, mirrors, tiles and, tables, and worktops.

As the name suggests, window vacs have a similar suction to a normal vacuum, though they are designed to suck up water, condensation and cleaning fluids for a streak-free shine. Some models also come with different nozzles to reach narrow corners. The dirty water is then sucked into the machine and collected in a tank. They’re a quicker and easier way to clean windows than exerting yourself with elbow grease using a squeegee or microfiber cloth.

Window vacs are designed to make cleaning smooth surfaces quick and easy. It sucks up water, condensation, and cleaning fluids, leaving them streak-free. Many models come with different nozzle sizes to reach narrow corners or lattice windows, and dirty water is collected in a tank that can be emptied without touching a drop. It’s a faster, cleaner, and more efficient alternative to traditional squeegees or cloths.

Shoppers have also said that it speeds up the cleaning process. In a review, a customer said:” Excellent piece of kit, use for conservatory windows, which were hard to clean, with the Karcher I do it in half the time. Also use it to clean bathroom which it leaves gleaming. No streaks if you use it properly.”

The Karcher vac is also easy to use as it has a lightweight body (just 0.6 kg). It’s rechargeable, with a run-time of up to 35 minutes per charge of three hours and 50 minutes.

It comes with a 280 mm suction nozzle that covers a decent width, and the dirty-water container holds 100 ml. Users must apply a spray or soapy water to the surface and then use the vacuum to suck up the liquid, leaving it streak-free and squeaky clean.

The vac also includes a spray bottle and microfibre cloth.

Customers who have already purchased the Kärcher WV 2 Plus have left fantastic reviews for the tool. One person wrote, “This window vac is perfect for quickly cleaning windows, zapping excess water off the shower screen, and steam from bathroom mirrors.”

However, some customers have complained about the size of the appliance. In a review, someone said, “Not very good for small windows, very awkward to use.”
