Optimism is in the air. It’s that time of year. School buses are back on the road. The temperature is beginning to dip. And football fans are twisting themselves into pretzels with reasons why their team will be better this year.
Jets fans are no exception. Despite the team posting losing records for the last 10 seasons and missing the playoffs for the last 15, they always come back around when the calendar turns to September and find reasons to believe.
For Jets fans, there are a lot of IFs about the 2026 team. If Geno Smith can duplicate his success from Seattle … If Adonai Mitchell can emerge as a true No. 2 receiver … If the defense performs better with Aaron Glenn calling the plays and actually gets an interception.
There is a lot of projection with the 2026 Jets.
