Amazon Prime is the second most popular streaming platform in the UK after Netflix. The service holds thousands of movies to suit your every mood, from rom-coms, creepy thrillers and crime dramas. The platform also has a great reputation for being the first to house new film releases, with the likes of Babygirl and Conclave becoming available to watch before any other streaming services. However, in August, the platform will lose 26 films from its catalogue, but we’ve got you covered. Here is a list of the 16 films leaving the platform between now and the end of August, and there is one period drama you cannot miss. Meanwhile 10 films have already left.

Little Women (2019)

Not the first adaptation of this book, but Greta Gerwig’s take on the book by Louisa May Alcott takes Little Women to new heights. It’s starry cast including Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Laura Dern and Timothée Chalamet give it a fresh take, while also doing the book justice. The film’s synopsis reads: “In the years after the Civil War, Jo March lives in New York and makes her living as a writer, while her sister Amy studies painting in Paris. Amy has a chance encounter with Theodore, a childhood crush who proposed to Jo but was ultimately rejected. Their oldest sibling, Meg, is married to a schoolteacher, while shy sister Beth develops a devastating illness that brings the family back together.”

Little Women will leave Amazon Prime on August 26, so be quick to catch it before it’s removed from the platform.
