Amazon offers you a choice of millions of books for free – how to claim today

If you don’t want to pop along to your local bookshop or library to pick up the latest bestselling page turner, you can access books digitally. This can be via e-reader or various online apps, but one of the most popular ways to grab an e-book is via Amazon Kindle.

Should you have a Kindle, or even if you just use the Kindle app for your iPhone, Android phone or PC, there’s an eye-catching offer running right now that will give you 30 days of free reading, perfect if you want to try and find something to read but don’t want to spend.

Amazon is currently offering a 30 day free trial of its Amazon Kindle Unlimited service, a subscription that offers “millions of books, thousands of audiobooks and selected magazine subscriptions on any device,” according to the company.

As long as you have an Amazon account, you can sign up for the free trial today and get 30 days of reading completely free. Just be aware that unless you cancel, you’ll be charged the regular £9.49 rate each month afterwards/

But the free trial might be long enough for you to consider the subscription anyway. KIndle Unlimited works on any Amazon Kindle device or via the smartphone or tablet app, and lets you download and borrow up to 20 books at a time from Kindle Unlimited’s vast library.

You don’t have any due dates for these either, so you can keep hold of them to read for as long as you want – as long as you have an active Unlimited subscription.

If you don’t intend on paying for the service after the trial, then this 30 day free offer could be the best way to get your reading in for your summer holiday, or simply a cheaper way to wile away the weekend in the back garden.

JK Rowling’s entire Harry Potter series is available on Kindle Unlimited as well as access to top magazines such as Good Housekeeping, Grazia and Ideal Home.

This Kindle Unlimited deal isn’t the only way to read books for free this month, though. If you have a local library card, you can use an excellent free app called Libby. This is an e-book borrowing app that you can link to your library card to borrow digital versions of books, all without having to leave the house to pop to the library.
