Need a new TV for the spare room, home office or your den? Now could be a good time to go shopping with Amazon’s latest sale event, slashing the price of a very smart screen to under £100. Yes, as long as you have Prime, you can pop a 32-inch Toshiba model in your online shopping basket and pay just £99. That’s incredibly cheap and still comes with some impressive features.
This budget telly is powered by Amazon’s Fire OS software – that’s the same platform that powers Fire TV Sticks.
That means you’ll get full access to all the biggest streaming services such as Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ without needing extra accessories. You can even find things to watch via Alexa voice controls, which should help searching for shows and movies a lot less laborious.
Other extras include clever upscaling to improve the picture quality and Dolby Audio for a boost to the sound.
This TV is only HD ready, so it doesn’t offer pin-sharp 4K, but it should be fine as a second screen or gogglebox for occasional viewing.
