Priced at £19.99, it has eight speeds, from gentle breeze to powerful blast, and claims to be “extremely quiet” so it can be used at night. There’s also a timer button so it can shut off if you don’t want it to go on while you sleep.
However, if money is no object, at the other end of the spectrum is the Dyson Cool™ CF1 desk fan. Priced at £249.99 on the brand’s website, it’s rated 4.6 stars out of five and claims to be able to cool a room quickly thanks to its 370 litres of airflow per second. It’s also apparently very quiet, even at full power, as it has no blades, making it safe to have around children and pets. Despite being so powerful, Dyson says it’s energy efficient, using only 30 watts maximum.
