We’re into the final hours of Amazon’s spring sale, but there’s still time to save more than £300 on a QLED smart TV. The 55” Hisense 4K QLED Smart TV is down to £379 in the retail giant’s Spring Deal Days sale, which is set to end at 11.59pm on Monday, March 31. This deal saves £320 compared to the usual £699 price tag – a mega 46% price drop. There are also discounts on the various screen sizes, from the 43” model at £259 to the 65” model at £494.10. Each version boasts ‘Quantum Dot Technology’, which delivers rich, vibrant and true-to-life colours whether streaming or gaming. It can also display highlights that are up to 40 times brighter and blacks that are 10 times darker than a standard image, thanks to 4K HDR Immersive and Dolby Vision.
The Hisense also has an ‘Adaptive Light Sensor’, which adjusts the screen brightness based on its surroundings to always display the clearest image. With the TV, there’s easy access to countless films and TV series on streaming apps like Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+ and Prime Video, plus free options like BBC iPlayer and Freely. It’s also ideal for sports fans as its AI Sports Mode automatically enhances the picture and sound, while Game Mode Plus delivers a smoother and more responsive experience. For those looking for a QLED TV without forking out hundreds all at once, Sky recently launched its upgraded Sky Glass Gen 2 smart TV.
This also features a 4K QLED display and starts at £29 when spreading the cost, which includes more than 100 TV channels and free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+ with a Sky TV package. At Amazon, the 55” Hisense 4K QLED Smart TV has achieved a 4.3-star rating from more than 1,100 Amazon reviews, 84% of which are four or five stars.
One happy customer said: “Amazing TV for the price, the picture is brilliant. I’ve got a £3.5k Sony in my front room and I cannot tell the difference. If you’re looking for a decent TV that won’t break the bank then this is the one. The speakers are very good too but will never match that of a soundbar, however I haven’t yet as it’s good enough.”
Another said: “I couldn’t be happier with this. The picture quality is absolutely stunning – sharp, vibrant and full of detail. The QLED technology really makes the colours pop, and HDR content looks fantastic with deep blacks and bright highlights. It’s a joy to watch movies and stream shows on this TV. The setup was super easy and the built-in smart features are intuitive. Apps like Freely, Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video run smoothly and the remote is simple yet functional.”
A third satisfied shopper said: “Blown away. The picture is crisp, the colours bright. The sound isn’t bad, better than what you come to expect in this price range. The menus are faster than my old TV, the smart apps are numerous and extensive. I really can’t find fault in this TV. This is for those who just want a great picture, HDR, the smart apps and aren’t fussed about fancy extras. I reckon a good Atmos soundbar would make this a complete TV most people would be very happy with.”
However, this less-impressed buyer left a three-star rating due to the Hisense TV’s ‘disappointing sound quality’. They said: “I bought this because it had good reviews about the sound quality for a cheap TV but to me it sounded muffled. The voices were clear enough but the background sounds sounded like you were listening under water.”
