Amazon has unveiled a fresh deal on a Shark vacuum cleaner that’s more than half price and £100 cheaper than the cleaning brand’s own price. The Shark PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner, now available for £245, a whopping £254.99 off the original £499.99 price tag.
This 51% discount means the device is the cheapest it’s ever been at Amazon, according to price tracker camelcamelcamel, but the retailer has not confirmed when the deal will end. Even Shark’s own deal can’t beat Amazon, with the same model reduced to £349.99 when buying direct.
The PowerDetect is described by Shark as a ‘powerful, intelligent, deep-cleaning’ vacuum cleaner, equipped with dual brush rolls and multiple sensors that automatically increase its cleaning power for optimal performance. The vacuum also identifies edges, corners and different floor types, adjusting suction power accordingly.
Unlike many rival models, the brands says it collects dirt when pulled backwards as well as forwards, while the anti Hair Wrap Plus feature removes hair from the brush-roll during cleaning. Ideal for pet owners, it comes with a motorised pet tool for removing hair from upholstery.
The battery lasts up to 70 minutes, with the charge level displayed on an LED screen that also features the ‘Dirt Detection’ function. Another notable feature is the ‘Flexology’ wand, which enables the vacuum to bend for cleaning under furniture or fold for compact and freestanding storage, reports The Mirror.
Alternative high-end vacuum cleaners include the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute, the ‘powerful, versatile’ vacuum that’s £80 off at £299.99. For a more affordable mode, the Smoture Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is a firm favourite amongst Amazon customers and has hit a new low price of £110.09.
It has earned a commendable 4.7-star rating with reviewers touting its ‘powerful’ suction that rivals premium brands. Meanwhile, Shark’s PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner garners an impressive 4.3-star rating from satisfied customers on Amazon and 4.4 from Shark shoppers.
One five-star review says: “The vacuum seems well made and has much better suction than my Dyson, it vacuums to the edges and definitely does a better deeper clean. Having three dogs we need a vacuum that can cope with all the hair. The anti hair wrap function works really well. Battery life is really impressive and allows me to clean our four bedroom house in one go.”
