Being a customer of a mobile network is usually a question of picking the one with the best price or the best signal, but one of the four major operators in the UK has a perk that’s so good many people choose to be customers just because of it.
We’re talking about O2 Priority, the service available to any O2 customer, and even, now, Virgin Media broadband customers. That’s because Virgin Media merged with O2 in 2021, so the firms’ services are intertwined.
O2 Priority is most famous for how it runs pre-sales on tickets for popular concerts at major O2-sponsored venues, from the O2 in London to O2 Academy venues all across the country. It’s an easy way to make sure you get the gig ticket you want before the rush of a general sale.
All you need to do is download the O2 Priority app on iPhone or Android and sign in.
The service has other perks, but a new one has just been announced that could be as good as the concert tickets. Available now via Priorty’s Blue Mondays scheme, all O2 customers and Virgin Media broadband customers can grab a free 12-month Tastecard worth £79.99.
Tastecard is a restaurant and food outlet discount membership that lets you claim 2-for-1 meals at scores of UK restaurants, including Pizza Express, TGI Fridays, Domino’s, Zizzi, Burger King and Pizza Hut.
This could come in handy to save money as we all toil through an expensive summer in the UK’s ongoing cost of living crisis. If a restaurant doesn’t offer 2-for-1, it could offer 25 percent off the bill or 50 percent off all food.
Virgin Media O2 said Tastecard members save on average £23 each time they dine, which is not a bad saving at all if you’re able to pick up a Tastecard for free.
Other Blue Mondays offers that O2 Priority is running could also get you a free 12-month digital magazine subscription for a title of your choice, including Grazia, Mojo, Empire and Heat.
And for the quick and simple perk, you can also claim a free sweet treat from Greggs in a tempting Blue Mondays offer.
