Tom Hanks, a name synonymous with Hollywood, has an impressive array of box-office hits and critically acclaimed masterpieces to his credit.

Born on 9 July 1956 in Concord, California, this American actor, filmmaker, and producer has had a prolific career spanning film, television, and stage.
