Aldi has announced that frozen whole turkeys are available in store for those looking to plan ahead for the big day.

Prices start from £2.86 per kilo for the bird and shoppers can feed a group of up to 15 on the festive day.

Supermarket chain Aldi is also helping shoppers spread the cost of Christmas with its full range of British frozen turkeys which are available in stores now.

These start from £13.49, making the Christmas bird cheaper than any other UK supermarket.

Customers can get ahead and begin their festive prep by choosing from a range of sizes including Aldi’s Large Whole British Turkey, Medium Whole British Turkey or the Small Whole British Turkey.

Meanwhile, for smaller gatherings, shoppers can also choose Aldi’s tasty and tender Large British Turkey Crown (£17.79, 2.4-2.8kg) or the Small British Turkey Crown (£13.49, 1.5-1.9kg).

There is also the Specially Selected Stuffed Turkey Crown (£24.99, 1.8kg), which has a pork, sage, and onion stuffing flavour.

Aldi’s frozen turkey range is available in stores from now until Christmas.

It comes as consumer champion Which? has compared major supermarket prices to reveal the cheapest in October 2024. Researchers compared the cost of groceries with Aldi coming top thanks to an average basket of 62 items costing £11.66.

This is the 12th month in a row in which Aldi has come top of the pile, making them only the second supermarket to do so. In second place was Lidl with the same basket of goods costing £112.07 and £112.33 for Plus members and non-members.

Overall, Waitrose was the most expensive retailer, with a total basket of the same 62 groceries costing £142.39. This is £30.71 more than those shopping at Aldi with the same items.
