Aldi is giving away £100s in vouchers to select shoppers who take a picture of their receipt after visiting stores in July. The budget supermarket says it will reimburse shoppers who miss an England or Wales goal in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 tournament which kicks off this week in a bid to encourage more customers to support the women’s teams. As an incentive to make the most of the football action, Aldi has pledged to give shoppers who miss a Lioness or Dragon scoring while they’re paying for their shopping up to £100 back in Aldi vouchers throughout the tournament.
Shoppers who are checking out in stores when England or Wales hit the back of the net in any match throughout the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 tournament in July simply need to take a picture of their receipt and send it to MissedAGoal@aldi.co.uk. Aldi will then reimburse the value of the shop up to £100 in vouchers for the first two entrants per goal.
The time shown on the receipt needs to be during the same minute that a Lioness scores a goal for England, or a Dragon scores for Wales.
The prize will be sent to the same email address that is used to enter the competition and it will be in the form of a digital voucher. Entries are open to Aldi shoppers in England, Scotland and Wales, and only one entry can be made per person.
The competition kicked off on Wednesday, July 2 and will close at 23.59pm on Sunday, July 27, with the last week’s winners to be contacted by Friday, August 1.
The first matches for the Dragons and the Lionesses will take place this Saturday, July 5, at 5pm and 8pm respectively.
Rebecca Heley, Communications Director at Aldi UK said: “We’re backing the Lionesses and the Dragons all the way this summer and we want to make sure our shoppers enjoy the games too.
“We’ve got a wide range of products in store to help people celebrate the Women’s Euros across the country, and for anyone shopping with us while the action’s unfolding – whether they’ve popped out to top up on match-day snacks or are watching along on-the-go – we’re giving Aldi customers another reason to cheer when one of our home nations scores this summer!”
