A plane has smashed into a jet on the runway of Scottsdale Airport in Arizona, grounding all flights.
The airport said: “An accident has occurred upon arrival to runway 21. Fire Department is on scene assessing the situation. Scottsdale Airports runway is currently closed.”
There is no word on casualties as of yet. Social media pictures show two damaged aircraft on the runway with emergency crews scrambling to the scene.
It is understood both aircraft are private jets and one has “skid off the runway” and smashed into a second plane leaving the cockpit “crushed.”
