An Airbnb renter shot a teen who allegedly broke into a Florida home in an attempted home-invasion robbery, according to reports.
Two armed men allegedly broke into the Airbnb rental in Fort Lauderdale and got into an altercation with the renter around 6 p.m. on Thursday, the Fort Lauderdale Police Department told CBS Miami.
The unidentified gun-wielding renter then shot suspect Dareon Pubien, 18, in the chest, police said.
Pubien allegedly fled the home on foot but was found by cops who followed a trail of his blood around the corner, according to the report.
The wounded teen home invader was taken to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition after undergoing surgery.
Arthur Butler Jr. described hearing a barrage of gunshots ring out across the street from him on Thursday, prompting him to call 911.
“Maybe at least 10, and then everybody was running,” Butler Jr. told the outlet.
Pubien’s alleged accomplice, Sean Thompson, 25, was also cuffed in connection with the robbery. Both thugs were hit with charges of attempted felony murder and home invasion with a firearm.
Thompson was ordered held without bond, and Pubien will be arraigned after he is released from the hospital.
The Fort Lauderdale Police Department did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
