As rumors continue to circtulate about the Aaron Donald’s potential return to the Rams, it appears his wife has a different idea on what’s taking place.

Erica Donald, wife of the three-time defensive player of the year, took to social media on Tuesday afternoon with a blunt take on the entire situation.

“Y’all are hilarious” she posted on Twitter.

The rumors of Donald’s potential return first began circulating early Tuesday morning when former teammate Michael Brockers said he’s heard that Donald is contemplating coming out of retirement to play alongside Myles Garrett, who the Rams stunningly traded for Monday afternoon.

“(I have) some knowledge that others might not have … My guy is staying ready so he doesn’t have to get ready,” Brockers said.

Combining Brockers’ comment with a video Donald posted late last week of one of his insane workouts where he had had the song “Ain’t Done” by Bixst blasting in the background with the “#ready” in the post, and it’s clear something was brewing.

While that ordeal started the smoke, Pat McAfee later lit the flame when he revealed that he had been texting with Donald, who said that LA’s blockbuster move “for sure got me thinking” about a return.

Rumors are circulating that three-time defensive player of the year Aaron Donald could come out of retirement and rejoin the Rams this season.

“Gotta see if that fire can light back up,” McAfee said Donald texted.

And finally, that flame officially became a small fire when Sean McVay, head coach of the Rams, answered a question about the Donald rumors during Tuesday afternoon’s introductory press conference for Garrett.

“If he’s interested, there is an opportunity…” said McVay with a big smile of his own.

“Aaron’s a guy that I stay really close in touch with, and I know the respect that he has for Myles [Garrett],” said McVay. “Talk to him about the opportunity to be able to bring him on board. If Aaron decides he wants to dust them off at the age of 35 I bet you he could still do it at a pretty high clip.”

While it’s unknown what will happen in the end, it appears everyone has had something to say on the matter — except for Donald himself — fans can now add Erica’s response as a nother piece of the jigsaw puzzle.
